Late Season CSA Bounty – Much To Be Thankful For…

In case you were wondering, we’d like to show you what a Late Season Share looks like. The photos span how the shares look over the course of three different weeks, including this latest, just a few days before Thanksgiving.

Our late-season share consists of root vegetables like beets:

…kohlrabi;

…carrots;

leeks;

…turnips;

…celery and broccoli;

…potatoes and winter squash (butternut and kuri, here, also acorn, delicata, and carnival)

…a selection of greens from our hoop tunnels and greenhouse, including lettuce mix, spinach, cress and mustard greens;

…a dozen farm fresh eggs; and each week, a delectable canned goodie from this summer’s harvest, including: a quart of heirloom tomatoes, spicy salsa, hot pepper jelly, dilly beans, India relish, sauerkraut, and sun-dried tomatoes.

This week, a special treat: smoked cheese prepared by Bill in his smoker, and dried tomatoes from our summer garden. We’re planning to add some smoked salmon near Christmas.
