Jamie Oliver Wins TED prize

This year’s winner of the TED prize, Jamie Oliver got $100,000 to put toward his “one wish to change the world.” His wish: “I wish for your help to create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity.” The prize will help pay for a network of community kitchens and a traveling food theatre to educate people about eating well.  Check it out at http://www.tedprize.org/jamie-oliver/. Enjoy the many other thought-provoking talks on the TED website as well!

If you feel inspired by Jamie’s campaign, he has created an online petition, promoting healthy food for children, that he will present to the White House. You can find the petition here:

Thank you Jessica. Earlier in this blog, I put in a link to sign the petition. This is important, and bears repeating!! Everyone, sign the petition!
